Winter colorI never thought I liked camellias, they seem too stiff and formal. One winter, I saw them in a different light. They were beauty in a gray misty world. They still don't feel right in a vase, but looked at individually, each blossom casting shadow, stark and elegant, they compose a winter picture for me. I chose a round format to reflect the round shape of the camellia and to pull the focus in towards the blossom, allowing the eye to delight and appreciate each single beauty. |
